Common Questions
FAQ
How can I improve the condition of my hair?
Healthy hair starts with regular maintenance. I recommend having your hair cut every 5–8 weeks, depending on your hair type and how quickly it grows. Using nourishing products at home, such as those containing Argan Oil, can help reduce frizz and improve shine. If you regularly use heated styling tools, always apply a heat protection spray (up to 230°C) and treat your hair to a deep conditioning mask once a week to keep it strong and healthy.
How often should I wash my hair?
For most hair types, washing every 2–3 days is ideal. This helps maintain your hair's natural oils while keeping it fresh and healthy.
How can I prevent my hair colour from fading?
Using a colour-safe shampoo and conditioner is the best way to protect your colour. I also recommend a deep conditioning treatment once a week to help seal the hair cuticle and lock in colour. If you regularly use heated styling tools, always apply a heat protection spray to minimise damage and help your colour stay vibrant for longer.
How often should I have my root colour refreshed?
Most clients benefit from a root touch-up every 6–8 weeks, although this can vary depending on how quickly your hair grows and your natural hair colour.
How often should I have my highlights or foils redone?
I generally recommend refreshing foils every 10–12 weeks. To maintain healthy hair and create a more natural blend, many clients alternate between a full head and a half head of foils.
Why doesn't my hairstyle last all day?
Hair type, weather and humidity can all affect how well your style holds. Using the right styling products, including professional hairsprays and anti-humidity products, can make a big difference. During your appointment, I'll always recommend the best products and techniques to help your style last longer.
Should I wash my hair before my appointment?
This depends on the service you're having. For cutting appointments, clean hair is ideal. For colour services, I may recommend arriving with hair that hasn't been freshly washed, as your natural oils can help protect your scalp. If you're unsure, just ask when booking and I'll be happy to advise.
What if I'm not sure what style or colour I want?
Don't worry—that's exactly what your consultation is for. We'll discuss your ideas, your lifestyle and your hair goals, and I'll recommend styles and colours that will suit you, your hair type and your maintenance routine.
Please Note:
